1. Who we are
Mr. Cash Back Real Estate Team is a real estate team led by Iman Dordizadeh Basirabad, Real Estate Salesperson, and operates under Hometon Inc., Brokerage, in Ontario. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the team and the brokerage it works under.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through mrcashback.ca and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the area you are looking in, the type of home, your budget and your timeline. We also keep what you send us by phone, text, email or Instagram message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit. We use it to keep the site secure and working properly.
Information for real estate services. If you decide to work with us, we and the brokerage collect what is needed to represent you, including identity verification required by law. That information is handled under the brokerage’s own records and compliance processes.
3. How we use it
- To reply to you and give you the rebate figure or information you asked for.
- To provide real estate services if you choose to work with us, including preparing your buyer representation agreement.
- To keep the website secure, fix problems and understand which pages are useful.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including record keeping under Ontario’s Trust in Real Estate Services Act and identity verification under federal anti-money-laundering rules.
4. Your consent
By submitting a form or contacting us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide some services.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only when needed: with Hometon Inc., Brokerage; with service providers that run this website and our email (such as our web host and email provider), who may only use it to provide their service to us; and, if you become a client and with your consent, with the people involved in your purchase, such as your lawyer, your lender and the other brokerage.
We may also disclose information when required by law, for example to a regulator or under a court order.
6. Where it is stored and how we protect it
Our website and email service providers may store information on servers outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We use reasonable safeguards, including secure (encrypted) connections, restricted access and password protection, to protect your information from loss, theft and unauthorised access.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Records about real estate transactions are kept for the period required by law.
8. Cookies
This site uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping the site and its forms secure. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
9. Emails and messages
We do not add you to a newsletter or mailing list unless you ask us to. Any marketing emails we send follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and include a way to unsubscribe.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
